Contract translation services in Dubai

Contract translation services in Dubai, by a Ministry of Justice legal translator

In a contract, one word can decide who pays, who is liable and when an obligation ends. We translate contracts between Arabic and English so the translation carries the same legal meaning as the original, clause by clause, for law firms, companies and individuals in Dubai.

Mundo is a legal translation office approved by the UAE Ministry of Justice. Contracts are translated by Ahmed Muhammad Sabar, a legal translator registered with the Ministry of Justice since 2008 (registration no. 302), and every certified translation carries the Ministry of Justice stamp.

When a contract needs a certified translation

Many contracts are translated so both parties understand what they are signing. Others are going to an authority. The UAE Government portal states that documents presented to the UAE’s courts must be in Arabic, or translated into Arabic by a legal translator approved by the UAE Ministry of Justice (u.ae: Civil cases). If a contract may end up in a claim, an execution file or a rental dispute, have it translated by a licensed legal translator from the start, so it does not need translating twice.

What we check in every contract

Defined terms

“The Supplier”, “the Services”, “Effective Date”: each defined term is translated once, deliberately, and used in exactly that form on every page. We build a term list before translating the body, and keep it for your next agreement.

Party names

Company names follow the trade licence and personal names follow the passport or Emirates ID, letter for letter. Send us a copy for each party.

Amounts, dates and references

Figures and dates are checked against the original, in numbers and in words. Cross-references such as “Clause 7.2” are checked again after translation in case the numbering moved.

Bilingual contracts, Arabic and English side by side

Many agreements in the UAE are signed in two columns. We prepare the bilingual layout so the Arabic and English match clause for clause and line for line, with the same numbering, headings and cross-references in both languages. Which language prevails if the versions differ is a decision for the parties and their lawyers. Our job is to make the two versions say the same thing.

Schedules, annexes and tables

Payment schedules, specifications, price tables and signature pages are part of the contract. Tell us at the start which ones you need. Tables keep the same structure as the original, so rows and figures can be checked side by side, and stamps, handwritten notes and initials are reflected in the translation so it matches the signed copy.

Confidentiality

Contracts carry commercial terms, salaries and settlement amounts. Your documents stay with the people working on them, and we can sign your firm’s or company’s non-disclosure agreement before work begins.

How it works

  1. Send the contract. PDF, Word or a clear scan, on WhatsApp or by email, with every schedule you need translated.
  2. Tell us the direction and where it is going. Arabic to English, English to Arabic or a bilingual layout, and whether it is for a court, a bank, a free zone, the Notary Public or internal use.
  3. Get the quote and the delivery date within 10 minutes. Both are confirmed before any work begins.
  4. We translate, review and stamp. Terms, names, figures and references are checked against the original.
  5. Receive it ready to use. A stamped PDF, a Word file for your review, or a printed copy.

Frequently asked questions

Will Dubai courts accept your contract translation?

Yes. Our Arabic and English legal translations carry the Ministry of Justice stamp and are accepted by Dubai Courts, the Rental Disputes Centre, the Notary Public and government departments in the UAE.

Can you prepare a bilingual Arabic and English contract?

Yes. We prepare the two-column layout so both versions match clause for clause, with the same numbering and cross-references.

We have a long contract and a hearing date. How fast can you work?

Tell us the number of pages and the hearing date when you send the file. We confirm the delivery date before we start, and for urgent work we can translate more than 20 pages in a single day.

Do you translate contracts in other languages?

Yes, including Russian, French, Turkish, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish and German. Arabic and English are translated in-house and accepted by Dubai Courts, the Notary Public and UAE government departments. Translations into other languages are usually accepted by immigration, universities, embassies and banks, so tell us where the contract is going and we confirm before you order.

Can you sign our non-disclosure agreement?

Yes. We can sign your firm’s or company’s NDA before we receive the contract.

How much does contract translation cost?

It depends on the length, the language and whether you need a bilingual layout. Send the contract on WhatsApp and you get the quote within 10 minutes.

For a longer guide to the points above, read Contract translation for law firms and companies in the UAE. Firms that send contracts regularly can open a corporate translation account with one monthly invoice and priority on delivery.
